Piedmont sits on the Anderson and Greenville county line along SC-20 and US-25. It is a commuter town: older mill-era streets on one side, newer subdivisions toward Wren and Powdersville on the other. That mix is the whole fence conversation. Some lots need a simple wood privacy fence on a small side yard. Newer streets may hand you an ARC sheet that wants tan vinyl and a set height.
Because the line can fall in either county, we ask which side of the road you are on before we talk permits or pool-code aluminum. Greenville County pool rules and Anderson County rules are not the same packet. We will not guess.
